How long can I store for?
Whether you want to store long term or are looking for temporary storage, we can help. Our minimum hire period is 4 weeks.
How much notice do I need to give?
We require four weeks notice.
Who holds the keys?
We provide you with up to 2 unit keys and 2 gate fobs. You are the only key holder.
A word of advice. Some of our customers when moving house or office, or building an extension, as It’s a very busy time. Do take time out to have a think about where you will keep your keys and how you will find them.
How does the refundable deposit work?
We ask for a £50 deposit before you take possession, but it is fully refundable when you vacate. You need to leave the container clean and tidy and don’t forget, you need to return the keys and gate fobs.
When can I access my goods?
Access to your unit is 7 days a week, 365 days a year 6am-10pm. You can drive straight up to your unit, you unlock, you unload, you collect what you need and off you go.
Is seasonal storage available?
Our customers often use us seasonally for convenient off-site storage from their businesses.
Some people use us seasonally for personal storage such as for summer or winter sports equipment.
If children are at home from college during the summer holidays and storage space is tight at home, customers use our storage containers for their excess household storage.
Remember that the minimum hire charge is just four weeks.
How do containers compare to warehousing?
Our storage containers offer an excellent alternative to warehouse storage. The access from your van, car or lorry to your belongings is generally easier and our prices compare extremely favourably. We are located just out of the town centre, on a main road so you don’t have to struggle with town traffic to get to us and there’s plenty of space.
What security do we offer on site?
The site is manned day and night by a bespoke security CCTV system, with site security flood-lighting. We put significant thought and resource into our security. We believe it to be a most crucial aspect and remains constantly under review.
Do you offer insurance for my belongings?
No. U Lock It does not provide insurance cover for your belongings. If you would like your goods to be insured then you must seek your own adequate insurance cover.
